Imagine

for just a moment...

You’re standing in the middle of the courtroom, the weight of your client’s future on you like a heavy cloak.

You open your mouth and begin to speak.

You lock eyes with one of the jurors in the back row and see that they are leaning forward, curiosity piqued.

As you look up and down the rows of jurors, you notice that all of them have moved to the edge of their seats.

Raised eyebrows. Twitching fingers.

They’re listening, anxiously awaiting your next word.

And you?

You’re feeling more confident than ever.

You’ve already done what you know is the most important first step to winning the best outcome for your client:

You’ve got their attention.

And guess what?

That’s a skill any lawyer can learn.

I can teach you how.

You’ve probably experienced something like this before...

Jurors are distracted, their arms crossed and you can feel your arguments aren’t landing.

You’re anxious and constantly asking yourself, “Have I prepared enough?”

Your client fidgets next to you, constantly handing you notes, or whispering in your ear.

Self-doubt kicks in and instead of focusing on the facts, you’re thinking, “Did I choose the right strategy?” and “Am I doing justice to my client’s story?”

You’re worried you’ll drop the thread.

You’re not advancing your narrative, instead getting sucked into your opponent’s words.

You’re not alone. Every lawyer has felt this way.

When you choose the right story, and weave the narrative seamlessly throughout the trial, this happens:

You never get sucked into the opponent’s narrative

Jurors don’t just hear your story, they feel it too, smiling and crying along with you

You’re energized, and your vibe is cool and confident as the words flow from your mouth

Jurors are connecting with your words - feeling full empathy for your client

You’re a leader in the courtroom, considered the most credible person in the room

Your words are memorable

You can’t go back to the jury room with them,

but your story will serve as a North Star for your case and continuously guide the jurors back to your argument.

I’m Keeley Blanchard.

On my own journey as a trial lawyer, I stumbled upon a revelation that has since become the cornerstone of my approach:

I want to take you on a storytelling journey.

At the core of every legal battle lies a story yearning to be unearthed and shared.

With nearly two decades of courtroom experience and over seventy trials to my name, I've witnessed the transformative power of storytelling. It's more than a skill—it's an art that can sway jurors, shift perspectives, and pave the way to justice.

While this program exists to help you master storytelling techniques; it's about embracing the art and soul that breathes life into legal narratives.

We'll sharpen your storytelling craft, ensuring every word, pause, and gesture weaves into the fabric of your narrative and fosters genuine human connections within the courtroom. The best part, we'll transform any anxiety and doubt into unwavering confidence and command.

Whether you're seeking to breathe new life into your practice or find a community of peers for growth and support, you've found your group.

Let's make every story not just heard, but felt and remembered.

By the end of 8 weeks, you'll be able to...

  • Write an opening statement that has jurors perched on the edge of their seats

  • Understand the objective of voir dire, and have a step-by-step method for selecting the right questions to meet your objectives

  • Methodically write a cross-examination that advances your trial story

  • Choose the right witnesses for direct examination, and help them connect jurors to your client’s story

  • Write a closing argument that guides and empowers the jurors to do what you need them to do

  • You are a criminal defense lawyer or civil plaintiffs lawyer who wants more wins under your belt

  • You recognize that you’re making rock-solid legal arguments, but they’re somehow failing to resonate on a human level

  • You find yourself envying colleagues who seem to captivate and sway the courtroom with their words alone

  • You’ve noticed a pattern of jurors’ attention wandering during your trial presentation, and you’re craving a change in that dynamic

  • You’re in a small practice or are a solo practitioner, and are looking for a community of peers to grow with

  • You’re early in your career and seeking to fast-track your development in a key area that’s often not covered in traditional legal education

  • You’re a seasoned attorney looking for a fresh approach to reinvigorate your practice and connect with clients and juries on a deeper level

  • You believe in continuous learning and are always on the lookout for innovative strategies to enhance your skills

  • You recognize the power of storytelling but don’t know where to start in improving these skills

I can't afford this right now. What should I do?

Don’t put yourself in financial distress to do this program. There are other ways of working with me, and I hope to put it on again sometime in the future.

Do I need to have a trial that I'm working on currently?

TrialStory will be a great benefit to you if you have an upcoming trial that you’d like to work on, but it’s not required.

What if I miss a class? Will it be recorded?

While being there live is the best option, I know that your schedule can get hectic. All of the classes will be recorded for your future use, whether you miss a class or just want to review the material again later. You’ll also have the opportunity to submit questions ahead of time.

I’m not sure I’m at the right level yet to do this - How much trial experience do I need to have?

TrialStory is designed to help attorneys at all levels of practice increase their storytelling skills in trial. If you have concerns about whether this is right for you, let’s take some time to meet so that you can talk it through. I don’t want anyone to regret taking the course, so it’s important that you are comfortable that this is the right decision for you. You can schedule a meeting with me here

Will my case information be kept confidential?

All lawyers who register for TrialStory will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement regarding the work product of other lawyers discussed during the group portion of the program. All group meetings will be recorded; however, access to those recordings will be restricted to you and other members of the group.

All 1:1 coaching sessions will be recorded for your private use only.

Any information disclosed to Keeley Blanchard during the 1:1 coaching sessions will be kept confidential unless you provide written permission to share it with the group.

What is the refund policy?

Because of the limited number of seats for TrialStory, there are no refunds available. If you end up needing to miss sessions, they will be recorded for your later viewing.
